The sections below explain the specific information, purposes and handling practices.
1. Scope and responsibility
Monsoon Isle ("we", "us" or "our") develops The Arrow and is responsible for the processing described here for which we determine the purposes and means. This policy covers The Arrow for Android (package: com.monsoonisle.thearrow), related support communications, and the Monsoon Isle website described in section 11.
Personal information includes information that identifies you directly or together with other information. Device identifiers, installation identifiers and IP addresses may qualify even without your real name.
2. Local and provided information
Game records on your device
The game saves settings, level progress, achievements, daily rewards, unfinished games and diagnostic records on your device to restore game state and run these features. Local analytics records also contain gameplay events and randomly generated installation, session and event identifiers.
Local storage does not mean all related information stays on your device. Some progress, gameplay and advertising events are sent through the analytics service in section 3. This differs from uploading complete saved games or providing cloud saves.
Information you provide
When you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, troubleshoot and handle your request. Please provide only necessary information and avoid sending passwords, payment details or unnecessary sensitive information.
The game needs no player account and does not ask for your name or contact details. It currently does not request access to precise device location, contacts, the camera or the microphone.
3. Analytics, promotion and crash reports
The Arrow uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand game use, improve gameplay and investigate problems. When analytics collection is enabled by the build and your applicable privacy choices, the game sends Google:
- Gameplay and ad activity: launches and session duration, level starts and results, progress changes, tutorials, use of hints and rewards, ad requests, impressions and clicks.
- Technical information: event times, game version, device model, operating system, language, loading times and technical errors.
- Identifiers: randomly generated installation, session and event identifiers. Google's SDK may also process app-instance identifiers and approximate geographic information.
We use the service to view and analyze analytics data. Random identifiers can link events from the same installation or session, so this information is not necessarily anonymous.
With your applicable privacy choices, Firebase may process advertising identifiers and advertising-related data to measure ad revenue, attribute installs and in-game actions to Google Ads campaigns, and support advertising optimization. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization each follow their own consent signals. Unknown or unconfigured advertising purposes stay disabled. Turning off Share gameplay analytics also disables Firebase's advertising purposes. These controls do not disable AdMob's separate processing.
Optional crash reports
Firebase Crashlytics helps investigate crashes, freezes and technical errors. Reports can include crash traces, native crash data, device and operating system details, app version, diagnostic identifiers and, when analytics is enabled, preceding analytics events. We do not add your name, email address or complete saved game to crash reports.
Share crash reports is a separate, optional setting and is off by default. Automatic report upload stays disabled. Enabling sharing takes effect after restarting the game; reports from sessions that remained enabled are submitted on a later launch while sharing is still enabled. Turning sharing off invalidates the current session for later submission, including if it is turned on again before restarting. The SDK can keep crash information locally while sharing is off; pending reports from those sessions are queued for deletion at the next launch. Reports already submitted or in transit cannot be recalled by this switch.
4. Advertising
The Arrow uses Google AdMob for rewarded and interstitial ads. You can choose to watch rewarded ads for an in-game benefit.
To deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud, Google's Mobile Ads SDK processes IP addresses and inferred approximate location, app and ad interactions, diagnostics such as performance information, and device or account identifiers such as advertising ID and app set ID. Processing depends on SDK version, configuration, device settings and applicable consent status. App set ID serves permitted purposes such as analytics and fraud prevention, not ad personalization.
Ad personalization depends on applicable consent, advertising configuration and device settings. Non-personalized ads can still involve data for delivery, frequency control, security and measurement. Watching a rewarded ad does not itself mean consenting to unrelated tracking or personalized advertising.
See the Google Privacy Policy and Google Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure. Section 8 describes your available choices.
5. Purposes and legal bases
We handle the information described above to run and save game features; understand gameplay and fix problems; deliver and measure ads, evaluate and optimize game promotion, grant rewards and prevent abuse; respond to support and privacy requests; and meet applicable legal obligations.
Where a legal basis is required, processing necessary for game features and support you request is based on performing the relevant service agreement. Mandatory retention or disclosure is based on legal obligations. Where permitted and not overridden by your rights and interests, security, troubleshooting and service improvement may rely on corresponding legitimate interests.
Analytics, device information access or personalized advertising requiring consent must take place only after valid consent. Legitimate interests cannot replace legally required consent. You can request withdrawal under section 8. Reading this policy or continuing to play does not itself constitute consent to that processing.
7. Retention and deletion
We use Google's analytics and advertising services and do not separately store raw gameplay analytics on servers we operate ourselves. Records on your device, Google-hosted data and support emails you send us remain subject to the following separate retention rules:
- Local saves and analytics records: the game saves progress, settings and local analytics records on your device until updated, overwritten or removed. Clear The Arrow's storage in Android settings or uninstall it to remove local data; this resets progress. Migration or backup services may keep separate copies that you need to manage through them.
- Firebase Analytics data: Google hosts this data. Our retention policy for applicable user-level and event-level analytics data is 2 months, with expired data removed through Google's scheduled deletion process. This period does not apply to standard aggregate reports, AdMob advertising data or local device records. See Google Analytics data retention.
- Firebase Crashlytics data: Google retains crash traces, extracted native crash data and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal from live and backup systems. Native minidumps are held temporarily for processing. This is separate from the Analytics two-month setting. See Firebase privacy and security information.
- AdMob advertising data: Google retains this for purposes such as ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention, under applicable policies and legal requirements. Periods can differ by data type and do not follow the Analytics retention setting. See Google's data retention information.
- Website hosting logs: GitHub retains these under its hosting service purposes, privacy statement and applicable law.
- Support correspondence: we keep it only as needed to resolve issues, follow up on requests and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it when no longer needed.
Clearing app storage, uninstalling the game or deleting an advertising ID does not automatically erase information already sent to Google. For access to or deletion of information we can identify and control, contact us under section 8. We will explain any legal need to retain information and relevant limitations.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
In-game choices
In Settings, use Privacy choices when available to review or withdraw advertising and analytics consent, or exercise applicable advertising opt-out choices. Messages and available choices depend on your region.
You can also turn off Share gameplay analytics in Settings in any region. Turning it back on does not override a refusal in your privacy choices. Disabling analytics stops further analytics collection and clears pending local analytics events without deleting game progress. It does not automatically delete data already received by Google.
Share crash reports independently controls optional diagnostic report submission. It is off by default and is not required to play. Enabling takes effect after restarting; disabling invalidates this session for later submission. Section 3 explains local storage, later-launch submission and reports already in transit.
Device and advertising choices
Android or Google settings offer advertising privacy options, including resetting or deleting your advertising ID. Menus vary by device and operating system. These actions do not stop all analytics or ad processing or erase data already collected.
Making a privacy request
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to know about and access your information, obtain a copy, correct or delete it, restrict or object to processing, request data portability and withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect lawful processing based on prior consent. Some jurisdictions also provide rights to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of information, appeal decisions and complain to a competent supervisory authority.
Users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland can exercise applicable data protection rights described above and complain to a competent local data protection authority. US residents can request to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information or targeted advertising where applicable state law provides these rights. Users in Southeast Asia and other regions can make requests under their applicable local laws; this policy does not limit those rights.
Email aquark314@gmail.com with the subject "The Arrow Privacy Request", the action you want, and helpful context such as your game version and approximate usage dates. We request additional information only as needed to verify the request, protect data or locate records. Please do not send identity documents or passwords unsolicited.
Without player accounts, a name or email usually cannot identify every installation or SDK record. If we cannot locate data or a provider independently controls it, we explain the limitation and provide relevant request channels where possible. We handle requests within applicable legal deadlines and explain extensions or refusals and available next steps. We will not treat you unfairly for lawfully exercising privacy rights.
9. Children and younger users
The Arrow is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. Store content ratings (such as "3+") describe content suitability and are separate from the game's intended audience and privacy consent requirements.
Users aged 13 and over may still be minors protected by local law. Higher age thresholds or other requirements for data processing, parental consent or personalized advertising continue to apply where required. Reaching age 13 or meeting a store content rating does not replace required consent. Parents and guardians should consider this policy when managing a minor's use.
The game includes third-party ads and analytics that may process the technical information in sections 3 and 4. We do not ask for names or contact details in the game, but this does not mean that no personal information about minors is processed.
If you believe information about a child under 13 has been collected through the game, or a minor's information has been processed without legally required consent or protections, contact aquark314@gmail.com. Once verified, we will delete relevant information we can identify and control, restrict the related processing and help direct requests to service providers where needed.
10. Information security
We take reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and processing risks. Google's relevant SDKs use encrypted connections. Local records also depend on device and operating system access protections. No storage or transmission method guarantees absolute security.
Please protect your device and send only necessary support information through our designated contact channel. We will meet applicable notification requirements if a security incident requires notice.
11. Website visits and external links
The Monsoon Isle website (monsoonisle.github.io) introduces games, publishes this policy and provides contact details. Our pages currently include no advertising or visitor analytics scripts, set no tracking cookies, and do not use browser local storage.
GitHub Pages hosts the site. GitHub logs visitors' IP addresses for security under its Privacy Statement. Having no analytics scripts of our own does not mean the host processes no visit records.
External websites, app stores and services handle information under their own policies. This policy describes our practices and does not replace third-party notices.
12. Policy updates and contact
We may update this policy as features, providers or legal requirements change and revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated through the game or another appropriate channel as required. New consent, where needed, will be obtained before the relevant processing. Policy updates do not replace required consent.
